Buhari’s Ex-Aide Visits Amaechi, Hails Him As Man Behind 2015, 2019 Election Victories

According to Ireporter Online, Garba Shehu disclosed the visit in a statement shared on his social media platform, where he described Amaechi as the leader who played a major role in securing victory for the All Progressives Congress (APC) during the 2015 and 2019 general elections.

Shehu said he visited the former Rivers State governor and ex-Minister of Transportation to sympathise with him over the passing of his mother, who died at the age of 89.

“Today, I paid a condolence visit to the man who led us in winning the 2015 and 2019 general elections as Director-General of the APC Presidential Campaign Council, Rotimi Amaechi, following the demise of his mother, Mrs Mary Amaechi,” Shehu stated.

He prayed for strength and comfort for Amaechi and his family during the period of mourning.

The Amaechi family had earlier announced the death of Mrs Mary Amaechi through a statement issued by the Rotimi Amaechi Media Office, describing her passing as peaceful.

The family described the late matriarch as a devoted Christian, respected community leader and a woman who dedicated her life to promoting peace, unity and service to others.

According to the statement, Mrs Amaechi was a pillar of support within her family and community, admired for her compassion, generosity and commitment to helping those around her.

The family noted that she would be remembered for her kindness, strong faith and positive impact on the lives of many people.

While mourning her loss, the family expressed gratitude to Nigerians, friends and well-wishers for the messages of sympathy, prayers and support received since the announcement of her death.
