House Of Reps Gives Directive As Lawmaker, Dennis Idahosa Sponsors Motion To Urgently Fix Collapsing Bridge On Lagos-Ore-Benin Highway

The member representing Ovia Federal Constituency in the National Assembly, Hon Dennis Idahosa has once again proved beyond doubt his excellent legislative responsibilities towards his constituents.

Yesterday the lawmaker moved a motion compelling the Federal Government to take decisive actions and fix a failed part of the ever-busy Ugbogui Bridge along the Lagos-Ore-Benin highway.

You may recall that a fortnight ago the lawmaker was spotted inspecting the failed portion of the bridge where he drew the attention of Nigerians on the inherent dangers the failed portion portends for commuters and motorists that ply the ever busy highway.

Taking a bold step further the lawmaker sponsored a motion on the need for the Federal Government to act fast. The HOUSE in its response directed the Federal Road Maintenance Agency (FERMA) to immediately commence the rehabilitation of the caved-in section of the bridge to ease the hardship and danger been faced by commuters plying the road.

Also, the House of Reps mandated the Nigerian Police Force to provide security along the stretch of the road to ensure the safety of road users.

Dennis Idahosa’s proactive responsibility towards his constituents has continued to elicit commendation from far and wide.
