Sen Urhoghide Comes Under Knocks Over Plans To Secure LP Edo South Senatorial Ticket

Edo South is making headlines once more, and this time the Senator representing Edo South Senatorial District, Sen Matthew Urhoghide, is at the epicentre of the controversy. The senator has come under fire from PDP members in Edo South senatorial district for allegedly attempting to defect to the Labour Party in order to secure the party’s senatorial ticket.

According to them, after the Senator was humiliated at Obaseki’s PDP factional congress, which the party has now annulled, he instructed his henchmen to cross over to the Labour Party to prepare the grounds for the senatorial ticket holder to withdraw from the race, allowing the Senator to fly the LP ticket.

BARR. Neda Imasuen, his devoted aide, is the LP Edo South senatorial flagbearer and alleged senatorial place holder.

According to PDP members who claim to be unconcerned about his latest move, a strategic meeting was held during which the Senator directed his people to immediately begin the onward movement to the LP, to which his spokesman and childhood friend, Hon. Osaze Jesuorobo, has submitted his resignation letter to the PDP through his ward chairman.
