Obidient Aircraft Grounded In Lagos? – NCAA Makes Huge Revelation

The federal government has denied media reports that the Labour Party’s campaign plane was grounded.

Supporters of LP presidential candidate Peter Obi and a few party leaders were denied access to the aircraft carrying them to their rally in Ibadan, Oyo State’s capital.

According to Diran Onifade, Head of Media for the Obi-Datti Presidential Campaign Organization, the jet was stopped at the Lagos airport by the “powers that be.”

The Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA) responded to the development by refuting claims that the LP’s campaign jet was grounded to sabotage the party’s campaign.

According to a statement issued by the authority on Wednesday, the aircraft belonged to a scheduled operator, also known as a commercial flight operator.

According to the NCAA, the flight crew returned to the base on their own to investigate a mechanical problem that had arisen shortly after takeoff.

It stated that the flight operator took the safety precautionary flight measures, not the NCAA, and that the authority was not involved in the decision.

It said, “The so-called grounded plane belongs to a scheduled operator i.e. normal commercial flight. The flight crew of the said aircraft returned to the base on their own to check on an issue that developed soon after it took off.

“This is the normal and right thing to do. What they did is what we termed safety precautionary flight measures. NCAA was not involved in this decision.”
