From Wednesday, November 30, 2022, the Kano State Government has prohibited tricycle riders known as “Adaidaita Sahu” from operating on some major roads in Kano.

The government, through the Kano Road Traffic Agency, said it took the action after providing 100 ultra-modern buses and 50 taxis to transport passengers on roads where tricycle operators are prohibited.

Nabilusi Na’isa, KAROTA’s Public Relations Officer, revealed this in a statement on Tuesday.

The government will also announce when tricycle operators will stop using other major roads in the state once more modern buses and taxis are provided to alleviate traffic congestion in Kano.
