Atiku Sends Warm Felicitations To Wike : PDP CRISIS

Amid the crisis in the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), the party’s presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar, has sent Governor Nyesom Wike a warm message of congratulations on his 55th birthday anniversary, even going so far as to tell the Rivers State governor to enjoy his “special day.”

The PDP has been in crisis for several months as a result of the outcome of the presidential primaries, which produced Atiku as the candidate.

The G-5, the five PDP governors who have vowed not to support Atiku’s presidential bid until the party’s National Chairman, Iyorchia Ayu, resigns, started the problem.

Governors Wike of Rivers State, Okezie Ikeazu of Abia State, Seyi Makinde of Oyo State, Ifeanyi Ugwanyi of Enugu State, and Samuel Ortom of Benue State are all members of the G-5.

The G-5 claimed that there is an imbalance in the composition of leadership positions favoring the North over the South, and they called for Ayu, who is from the North, to resign so that a southerner could take his place.

Despite the party’s uproar, Atiku took to Twitter on Tuesday to wish Wike, the G-5’s unofficial leader, a happy birthday.

In a message signed with his initials ‘AA,’ the former Nigerian vice president posted a photo of Wike with the caption “many happy returns.”

“As you turn 55 today, I pray that all lines fall in pleasant places for you,” Atiku wrote in the caption. “Have a wonderful day.”
