JUST IN: Buhari Makes Fresh Appointments

President Muhammadu Buhari has approved Mallam Shekarau Dauda Omar’s reappointment as Executive Director of Small and Medium Enterprises (SME) at the Bank of Industry (BOI) for a second four-year term.

According to a statement issued on Thursday by Mr Ifedayo Sayo, Special Assistant on Media to the Minister, Federal Ministry of Industry, Trade and Investment, Omar, whose first term was set to end on March 5, 2023, will now serve for an additional four years.

Omar, the current Executive Director, SME, has repositioned the SME Directorate by significantly expanding the portfolio and significantly improving the risk asset quality.

The President also approved Ms Mabel Ndagi’s appointment as Executive Director, effective March 19, 2023.

Mrs Toyin Adeniji, the retiring Executive Director, will step down on March 18, 2023, after serving her second and final term in office.

She is currently the Bank of Industry’s General Manager of Government and External Communications.

Ms Ndagi has been with the bank for over 16 years.
