According to a statement made by a prosecutor, two Nigerian men have been extradited to the United States, following their indictment for allegedly engaging in sexual extortion involving teenage boys and young men across the U.S., particularly in Michigan.

The individuals, identified as Samuel Ogoshi (22) and Samson Ogoshi (20) from Lagos, Nigeria, are scheduled to be arraigned on Monday at the federal courthouse in Grand Rapids, as announced by U.S. Attorney Mark Totten.

The allegations against them involve operating an international sextortion scheme, where they posed as a woman, and tragically, this led to the death of a 17-year-old named Jordan DeMay from Marquette in the Upper Peninsula. The young man died by self-inflicted gunshot on March 25, 2022, reportedly as a result of their actions.

The charges they are facing include conspiracy to sexually exploit minors, conspiracy to distribute child pornography, and conspiracy to commit stalking through the internet.

Additionally, Samuel Ogoshi faces individual charges of sexual exploitation of a minor resulting in death and attempted sexual exploitation of a minor resulting in death. The indictment against the two men was issued in May.
