5 Nigerian Startups Make Africa’s Fastest-Growing Companies List

According to Ireporter Online, several African startups spanning fintech, e-commerce, logistics, and technology sectors have been recognized among the fastest-growing companies on the continent, underscoring the rapid expansion of Africa’s digital economy.

The latest ranking features strong representation from Nigeria, South Africa, Zambia, Rwanda, and Mauritius, with Nigerian firms occupying multiple positions. These companies are driving innovation across financial inclusion, pharmaceutical supply chains, communications infrastructure, and green logistics, highlighting the growing impact of technology-driven solutions in addressing key economic challenges while scaling rapidly across Africa.

Nigeria’s OmniRetail Inc, formerly OmniBiz, tops the list for its B2B e-commerce platform that digitizes the FMCG supply chain, connecting small retailers with manufacturers and distributors while providing access to working capital. PalmPay Ltd, a fintech “super app” backed by Transsion Holdings, serves over 35 million users and 1.1 million merchants across Nigeria with digital banking solutions, including transfers, savings, and credit services. Remedial Health Inc, founded in 2021, strengthens Africa’s pharmaceutical supply chain by supplying pharmacies, hospitals, and clinics with genuine medicines and inventory financing tools.

Zambia’s eShandi Financial Services offers AI-driven microloans, digital wallets, and insurance services to underserved individuals and SMEs across Southern Africa, promoting financial inclusion. Mauritius-based AfricaWorks Group provides flexible workspaces in major African cities, supporting startups, SMEs, and multinational companies.

South Africa is represented by Paymenow Group, which enables employees to access earned wages ahead of payday, GoBid Pty Ltd, a salvage auction platform for used and accident-damaged vehicles, and Drive24 Pty Ltd, which offers secure remote access to on-premises file servers and cloud migration solutions. Piaffe Flavours & Fragrances provides bespoke flavours and fragrances to the food and beverage industry.

Rwanda’s Inkomoko Entrepreneur Development Ltd supports refugee and host community entrepreneurs with business advisory services, financing, and market linkages to foster sustainable growth and job creation.

Additional Nigerian companies making the list include Termii Inc, an AI-native communications platform serving over 10,000 clients with messaging infrastructure, and Bisedge Ltd, a green logistics company replacing diesel forklifts with electric alternatives to reduce emissions.
