A Political Giant Falls As Former Lawmaker Passes Away

A former member of the House of Representatives from Kwara State, Aliyu Bahago Ahman Patigi, has passed away. “His contributions to education and politics will be remembered. May his family and loved ones find comfort during this difficult time,” the statement expressed.

The Kwara State Government also acknowledged his passing through a statement by the Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, Rafiu Ajakaye.

In the statement, Governor Abdulrazaq, who was present at the National Hospital in Abuja where the former congressman died, extended his heartfelt condolences to His Royal Highness the Etsu Patigi Alhaji Ibrahim Umar Bologi II, the people of Patigi Local Government Area, and the Ahman-Patigis during this sad time.

“Hon. Bahago will be remembered for his numerous investments that uplifted many, including those he supported as a congressman and those he empowered as a community leader, such as the establishment of Ahman Patigi University (APU),” the governor stated.

“We are deeply saddened by the passing of the Galadiman Patigi but accept the will of Allaah, our creator and sustainer. We ask Allaah to forgive Hon. Aliyu Bahago, grant him al-jannah Firdaus, and provide his family with the strength to cope with this painful reality.
