The Akwa Ibom Impact Honours (AIIH), a flagship project of Development Options (DO), is set to recognise and celebrate outstanding indigenes of Akwa Ibom State whose contributions have made remarkable impact in driving development locally and globally.

According to Ireporter Online, the initiative was designed to identify, document, and honour exceptional sons and daughters of Akwa Ibom who have distinguished themselves across various sectors including leadership, business, public service, entrepreneurship, education, healthcare, media, the arts, innovation, philanthropy, and community development, with their achievements inspiring positive societal change.

Speaking on the development, the Convener, Dr. Uduak Daniel, said the initiative goes beyond mere recognition, stressing that it is aimed at building a culture where service, transformational leadership, and impactful contributions are deliberately celebrated and preserved for future generations.

She noted that societies progress when individuals who are actively contributing to development are acknowledged and celebrated, adding that the AIIH is structured to highlight inspiring stories of excellence, promote a culture of achievement, and create a lasting record of individuals and institutions advancing humanity.
