All Set for Akwa Ibom Tech Week 2025 as State Gears Up for a Digital Revolution

According to iReporter Online, preparations have been fully completed for the much-anticipated Akwa Ibom Tech Week (AKTW) 2025, an event poised to revolutionize the state’s tech landscape. Scheduled to take place from November 3 to 8 in Uyo, the flagship event is designed to drive digital transformation, attract investment, and stimulate wide-ranging socio-economic growth throughout Akwa Ibom.

The President of Ibom Innovation Network, Mr. Hanson Johnson, who is spearheading the initiative, said this year’s edition is fuelled by a deep belief in the untapped tech talent of Akwa Ibom youth and the state’s vibrant innovation culture.

According to iReporter Online, Johnson emphasized that AKTW 2025 will serve as a catalyst to connect local talent with the resources, opportunities, and networks essential for scaling their impact.

He further noted that the event aligns perfectly with Governor Umo Eno’s administration’s ARISE Agenda, especially its core pillars of digital services, enterprise development, and human capital growth. “We envision a future where Akwa Ibom becomes a net exporter of digital solutions, not just a passive consumer of technology,” Johnson declared.

According to iReporter Online, the week-long event will host top-tier tech innovators, startup founders, venture capitalists, and global thought leaders, all converging to explore Africa’s rising digital frontier. Participants can expect interactive workshops, AI and Web3 masterclasses, a Career Fair, and a Venture Pitch Competition that opens direct access to funding, mentorship, and global exposure.

The Project Manager of Ibom Innovation Network, Miss Ekemini Joseph, confirmed that AKTW 2025 will feature keynote speeches from pioneers in artificial intelligence and blockchain, in addition to high-level panels led by successful African tech unicorn founders. She also highlighted strategic collaborations with telecom giants and financial service providers aimed at deepening innovation across the region.

“Akwa Ibom Tech Week has rapidly become a magnet for global investors and innovators,” she said, adding that the event has also rejuvenated the state’s tourism sector, boosting hotel occupancy, air travel, and stimulating small business growth. The Planning Committee Chair, Mrs. Enoabasi Emah, revealed that inclusive participation remains a top priority. In addition, the CEEDAPEG Hotel, the designated venue, will be made disability-friendly through partnerships with relevant organizations.
