Opeyori’s remarkable achievement adds to his illustrious badminton career, having previously secured titles at various prestigious events across the continent. His latest triumph in Egypt marks another milestone in his quest for excellence.

Despite a valiant effort, Nigeria’s male team narrowly missed out on the gold medal, settling for silver after a hard-fought final against Algeria. However, the women’s team managed to secure a valuable bronze medal, showcasing Nigeria’s prowess in both genders.

In the individual events, Opeyori displayed exceptional skill and determination, emerging victorious in the men’s singles category for the third consecutive time. His stellar performance against formidable opponents reaffirmed his status as a dominant force in African badminton.

In the men’s doubles event, Nigeria’s Yunusa Momoh Godwin and Olofua performed admirably, securing a spot in the finals but ultimately settling for silver after a closely contested match against Algeria’s top pair.

In the women’s doubles category, Nigeria’s Dorcas Ajoke Adesokan and Sofiyat Obanishola demonstrated resilience, securing a bronze medal despite facing tough competition from Ugandan opponents.
