APC Announces Appointment Of ICT Director

The All Progressives Congress (APC) has officially appointed Dr. Umar Majigi as the substantive Director of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) of the Party.

According to reports, the appointment was confirmed on Tuesday in a statement by the National Publicity Secretary of the APC, Felix Morka. The move recognizes Dr. Majigi’s extensive expertise, professionalism, and dedication to the advancement and modernization of the Party’s ICT systems.

The statement highlighted that Dr. Majigi holds a Ph.D. in Cybersecurity Science, alongside several other academic and professional qualifications in web design, programming, and data processing. He previously served as Assistant Director of ICT at the Party’s National Secretariat before being promoted to Acting Director of ICT, where he provided strategic leadership and operational guidance.

During his tenure as Acting Director, Dr. Majigi was pivotal in strengthening the APC’s ICT infrastructure, managing data systems, and deploying digital solutions that improved Party operations nationwide. He notably contributed to the implementation of the Party’s membership e-registration system, enhancing the credibility, efficiency, and accessibility of the APC membership database.

The Party emphasized that Dr. Majigi’s elevation to Director of ICT reflects its commitment to merit-based appointments, institutional continuity, and the development of internal capacities through the promotion of qualified and experienced personnel.
