The Bauchi State All Progressives Congress (APC) has apologized to its supporters for the hiccup caused by a system failure during the state’s presidential campaign rally on Monday.

President Muhammadu Buhari and the APC presidential candidate, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, were unable to address party supporters who had gathered at the Abubakar Tafawa Balewa Memorial Stadium for the campaign rally due to a system failure.

The party described the incident as unfortunate in a statement issued by its Publicity Secretary in the state, Adamu Jalla Gamawa, and asked supporters to be patient.

He said: “We have achieved our aim, our supporters came out in large numbers, Mr. President saw them and knows that Bauchi remains one of his strongholds in the country. We will give the presidential candidate the needed number of votes in millions.”

He declared that the large crowd at the rally was a warning signal to the state’s Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to begin preparing for its exit from the Government House in May.
