Batch 35 Recruitment: Nigerian Navy Speaks On Viral List Of Successful Candidates

The Nigerian Navy has issued a statement disavowing the purported list of successful candidates for its Basic Training School (NNBTS) Batch 35 Recruitment, deeming it as fraudulent. Commodore Adedotun Ayo-Vaughan, the Director of Naval Information, made this declaration in Abuja.

He clarified that the recruitment exercise took place in three designated centers across the country: Lagos, Rivers, and Kaduna States.

Ayo-Vaughan emphasized that the circulated information is false and the handiwork of deceitful individuals attempting to deceive unsuspecting applicants.

He also emphasized that the official list of successful candidates has not been released, and no training invitations via text message have been sent out by the Nigerian Navy.

Ayo-Vaughan expressed concern over the proliferation of false information regarding enlistment or recruitment into the Navy and assured that efforts are underway to apprehend those responsible.

He urged the public, especially prospective applicants, to always verify information through the official NN website, https://www.navy.mil.ng, and other credible media platforms.

He issued a stern warning to those engaged in disseminating false information, cautioning them to desist from such practices or face legal consequences.

Ayo-Vaughan also highlighted that the fraudulent text messages had invited unsuspecting applicants to report for military training at NNBTS Onne, Rivers, with a purported start date of October 6.
