This allegation surfaced after social media critic Martins Otse, aka VeryDarkMan, shared a viral audio clip in which Bobrisky purportedly admitted to paying off unidentified EFCC personnel.

A source within the EFCC confirmed that Bobrisky underwent lengthy questioning upon his arrival in Abuja, saying, “He was interrogated for hours and remains with us at this time (8:30 pm).”

Details Surrounding Bobrisky’s Arrest

The EFCC clarified the circumstances of Bobrisky’s recent arrest, which occurred Thursday night at Murtala Muhammed International Airport in Lagos. Bobrisky was reportedly attempting to leave Nigeria for London amid the bribery accusations. Following his detention, he was transferred to Abuja for further questioning.

EFCC spokesperson Dele Oyewale confirmed to SaharaReporters that Bobrisky was apprehended after ignoring a formal invitation from the commission. Oyewale explained that the arrest is part of an investigation into the alleged bribery and that the EFCC seeks Bobrisky’s cooperation in identifying any officials involved. When asked if Bobrisky might face bribery charges, Oyewale stated that a decision on the matter has not yet been made.
