Relations Officer, it was revealed that Azare’s journey with the force began as a Cadet Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP), following his exceptional training at the Nigeria Police Academy in Wudil, Kano.

Azare, a native of Katagum Local Government Area in Bauchi State, holds a Bachelor’s degree in Mass Communications and two Master’s degrees from Bayero University Kano, in Public Policy and Administration, as well as Crime Management, Prevention, and Control.

Throughout his career, Azare has held several key roles within the force, demonstrating his expertise in Administration, Investigation, Operations, and Specialized Units. He previously served as a Detective in the General Investigation Section of the State CID in Kano, and as the Kano State Police Public Relations Officer for seven years, where he built positive relationships and earned widespread recognition for his performance.

Azare also contributed to the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), where he held various positions from 2012 to 2016, including the Head of Counter Terrorism and General Investigation Unit, and Special Assistant on Media to the EFCC Executive Chairman. His dedication to integrity and anti-corruption efforts has earned him numerous promotions and a broad spectrum of experiences within both national and international law enforcement.

The newly appointed Commissioner is married with children.
