BREAKING: Gunmen Abduct Many Members Of Christ Apostolic Church (DETAILS)

A group of 25 choir members from the Christ Apostolic Church, CAC, Oke Igan in Akure, the capital city of the state, has been taken captive. The incident occurred around 3 pm on Friday as they were en route to Ifon in Ose council area for a burial ceremony.

A member of the church, speaking to reporters, revealed that the victims were on their way to attend the burial ceremony of a fellow church member when the abductors ambushed them.

The vehicle carrying the victims was later discovered abandoned along the highway.

Upon inquiry, Funmi Odunlami, the spokesperson for the state police command, stated, “The police received information that a church bus with the inscription ‘CAC’ was found abandoned around the Elegbeka area, and there are suspicions that the passengers in the vehicle were kidnapped.”

Odunlami further added, “The Police Anti-kidnapping squad and other tactical teams have been dispatched to the area to rescue the victims and apprehend all those involved in the crime.”
