BREAKING: Ibori Gets Fresh Appointment (DETAILS)

On Thursday, the daughter of former Delta State Governor, James Ibori, Erhiatake Ibori-Suenu, and Mohammed Bello El-Rufai, son of former Kaduna State Governor, were appointed as chairpersons of standing committees.

Speaker Abbas Tajuddeen announced a total of 134 standing committees during the plenary session.

Erhiatake Ibori-Suenu was named the Chairman of the House Committee on Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC), while Mohammed Bello El-Rufai was announced as the Chairman of the House Committee on banking regulations.

Other notable individuals who emerged as committee chairpersons include former Deputy Speaker, Ahmed Idris Wase, former House Leader, Alhassan Ado Doguwa, Yusuf Adamu Gagdi, and Mukhtar Betara.

Ikenga Ugochinyere became the chairman of Petroleum Resources (Downstream), Alhassan Ado Doguwa was assigned as the Chairman of Petroleum Resources (Upstream), and Kabir Alhassan Rurum was appointed as the chairman of the House Committee on Aviation. Abdulmumini Jibrin was named the Chairman of the House Committee on Foreign Affairs.

Abubakar Kabir Abubakar Bichi, who previously chaired the House Committee on works in the 9th Assembly, now holds the position of chairman on Appropriations. Betara, who was previously the head of the Committee on Appropriations in the 9th House, now leads the House Committee on the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).

Yusuf Adamu Gagdi retains his chairmanship of the House Committee on Navy, and Leke Abejide also retains his chairmanship of the House Committee on Customs and Excise.
