BREAKING: Obasanjo, El-Rufai ‘Clash’ At Sheraton Hotel (PHOTOS)

Former President Olusegun Obasanjo met with Kaduna State Governor Nasir El-Rufai in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) of Abuja.

The two met at the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC)-Nigeria Business Council’s first stakeholder meeting, which was held at the Sheraton Hotel in Ikeja over the weekend.

Obasanjo, the Council Patron, “commended President Muhammadu Buhari for his foresight in establishing the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC) – Nigeria Business Council” at the meeting.

Obasanjo’s Special Assistant on Media, Kehinde Akinyemi, stated that the meeting took place over the weekend at the Sheraton Hotel in Ikeja.

El-Rufai, the Council’s Deputy President, was said to have revealed the news while reporting on his recent meeting with the President in Abuja, the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).

According to El-Rufai, “the President was excited about the Council. He said with such Council in Africa, the future will be brighter to work together.”

The governor added that “Mr. President urged the former President to use his energy and network to extend similar formations in countries like Egypt, Ethiopia and South Africa.”

The meeting also included the President of the Council and the immediate past Director General of the International Institute for Tropical Agriculture (IITA), Dr. Nteranya Sanginga; the governor of Anambra State, Charles Soludo; top government officials from DRC, and others.
