During his address at the 2025 Lagos Annual Thanksgiving Service, Governor Sanwo-Olu outlined the state’s ambition to improve public infrastructure, create job opportunities, and enhance the living standards of Lagosians. He also acknowledged the collaborative efforts required at both state and federal levels to bring about meaningful change.

Key initiatives planned for 2025 include the expansion of Lagos’s municipal rail system, construction of a new international airport, and the development of a food logistics hub. The Governor also highlighted the implementation of the Lagos State Electricity Law of 2024, aimed at providing reliable, affordable power for residents and businesses.
