Similarly, Barrister Zubaida Damakka, who served as the commissioner for Budget and Economic Planning, also passed away after a brief illness in Abuja. She leaves behind three children and a husband.

The funeral prayers for both individuals were conducted in Kano on Sunday, following Islamic traditions.

Dawaki was a highly regarded and influential figure, and his sudden departure has left a void in the hearts of many, as expressed in a statement by the Chief Press Secretary to the Deputy Governor, Ibrahim Garba Shu’aibu.

Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf recognized the significant loss represented by Dawaki’s passing and offered prayers for strength and resilience to the grieving family, wishing them comfort during this difficult period of mourning.
