British Lawmaker Vows To Establish Initiatives For Advancing The Opportunities Of Girls In Nigeria At Dr. Agbomhere’s Book Launch

Lord John David Taylor of Warwick, a member of the House of Lords in the United Kingdom Parliament, praised the industrious, focused, and goal-oriented nature of Nigerian women during the launch of Dr. Blessing Agbomhere’s book titled “Beyond Beauty” in London. At the event, Lord Taylor promised to initiate a project aimed at empowering and enhancing the fortunes of the girl child in Nigeria, the most populous black nation in the world.

The book “Beyond Beauty” delves into the values of education, entrepreneurship, patriotism, and community service exemplified by prominent Nigerian women like Esther Agbomhere, Dora Akunyili, Stella Adadevoh, Ekaette Unoma Akpabio, First Lady of Nigeria, Oluremi Tinubu, and other young women in the country. It tells the story of a young woman who learns through the guidance of her mother and society that true beauty goes beyond mere appearances.

The well-attended book launch in London brought together notable personalities, including the Worshipful Mayor of Royal Borough of Greenwich, Cllr. Dominic Mbang, His Royal Highness Togbi Adza of Anlo Kingdom in Volta Region, Ghana, Mr. Richard of RichieRich Global, Prof. Dr. Pauline Long, Dr. Marthins Abhurimhen, Actress Victoria Inyama, Lady Marlene Okorie, as well as prominent Nigerian politicians, chief executives, and opinion leaders like Caliph Jarret Tenebe (Edo State APC Deputy State Chairman), Hon. Emmanuel Momoh (President of the Movie Producers’ Association of Nigeria), Dr. Blessing Ebigieson, and others.

Lord Taylor commended the author for her masterpiece and expressed admiration for the determination and courage demonstrated by typical Nigerian women, including Senator Oluremi Tinubu, the First Lady. He expressed his commitment to support and promote the book and its empowering message in Nigeria.
