Real Madrid manager, Carlo Ancelotti, has shared an optimistic update regarding the return of two key players ahead of their upcoming UEFA Champions League quarter-final match against Arsenal.

“We are actively working on the recovery of both Ferland Mendy and Dani Ceballos for the first leg against Arsenal,” Ancelotti commented. “Our objective is to have them ready for the match.”

Furthermore, the Italian coach is hopeful that Kylian Mbappe, Antonio Rudiger, and Vinicius Jr. will avoid any bans from UEFA. The trio is under investigation for alleged inappropriate conduct during Real Madrid’s Champions League Round of 16 second-leg victory over Atletico Madrid earlier this month.

The players were accused of celebrating their qualification for the quarter-finals in a manner deemed contrary to UEFA’s code of conduct.

“We trust that the situation is being properly addressed, and we are optimistic that UEFA will come to a favorable resolution,” Ancelotti added.

Real Madrid will next face Leganes in La Liga at 9 p.m. later tonight, before heading to London for their highly anticipated Champions League clash with Arsenal at 8 p.m. on Tuesday, April 8.
