Chief Justice of Nigeria Calls on Judges to Lead Fight Against Financial Crimes in Nigeria

The CJN highlighted that Nigeria’s continued presence on the Financial Action Task Force’s “Grey List” has hindered economic progress, urging a unified effort to ensure delisting from the list. She also praised the workshop as a step toward strengthening the country’s financial crime framework.

The Deputy British High Commissioner to Nigeria, Mrs. Gill Lever, expressed the UK’s support in combatting money laundering, noting that Nigeria loses over $16 billion annually due to such activities.
