Delta Airlines Rolls Out Free Wi-Fi On 700 Aircraft Across Global Fleet
Delta Airlines has announced its plan to offer free and fast Wi-Fi across its fleet of nearly 700 aircraft. This initiative is expected to be completed by the end of summer 2024. The service will start without the need for a SkyMiles log-in but will eventually integrate with the Delta Sync Wi-Fi experience, which connects to SkyMiles memberships.
The Wi-Fi rollout will first cover flights between the U.S. and Europe, expanding to other international routes throughout the year. By late 2025, Delta aims to provide free Wi-Fi on flights to Asia, Australia, New Zealand, and South Africa. Delta’s Senior Vice President of Customer Experience Design, Ranjan Goswami, described the move as a significant advancement in airline connectivity, enhancing the travel experience for customers worldwide.
