Devastating Blaze Claims Lives Of Customs Officer And Family In Ede, Osun State

The abductors opened fire during the attack, killing the police escort assigned to protect Kigbu, who had attempted to resist the abduction. Eyewitnesses reported hearing sporadic gunfire, which caused panic among motorists in the area. Local villagers confirmed the event and highlighted that the region has long been a hotspot for criminal activity.

This latest kidnapping, combined with the tragic death of the police escort, highlights the ongoing security challenges in the area. Many residents are calling for stronger security measures to curb such incidents.

In a separate tragic event, a devastating fire broke out early Monday morning at the home of Tijani Kabiru, a Customs officer attached to the Oyo/Osun Command, in Akankan Area, Ede, Osun State. The fire claimed the lives of Kabiru, his wife, and four of their children. The tragedy has deeply shaken the community, leaving residents in mourning and disbelief.
