The Department of State Security (DSS) has apprehended 23-year-old Fildausi Musa Ahamadu for making threats of a suicide bomb attack against the Justices of the Kano State Election Petition Tribunal and Nasiru Yusuf Gawuna, the candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC).

This threat was made in response to the tribunal’s judgement that ousted Governor Abba Yusuf from his position in Kano State.

On September 20, a three-member panel of the Election Petition Tribunal, led by Justice Oluyemi Akintan-Osadebay, invalidated Governor Yusuf’s election victory under the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP), declaring Gawuna the winner of the gubernatorial election held on March 18 in Kano State.

Fildausi’s alleged threat, captured in a viral video, targeted the lead judge of the Governorship Elections Tribunal with a suicide bomb warning. She also issued a stern warning to Gawuna of the APC, stating, “You dare not indicate your location, otherwise, I don’t mind striking you with a bomb vest to commit suicide.”

Fildausi further claimed that Vice President Kashim Shettima influenced the Tribunal Judgement against the NNPP in Kano.

A source from the DSS confirmed Fildausi’s arrest and stated that she will be brought before the court. The source emphasized the seriousness of these threats and the need to address them appropriately.
