The victims, Onimojo of Imojo Ekiti, Oba Olatunde Samuel Olusola, and Elesun of Esun Ekiti, Oba David Babatunde Ogunsola, were ambushed and killed by armed men as they returned from a meeting, while the Alara of Ara-Ekiti, Oba Adebayo Fatoba, narrowly escaped the attack.

Governor Oyebanji strongly condemned the heinous act and assured the state’s citizens that the government would spare no effort in uncovering the truth behind the incident.
