Emerging Betrayer” – Eze Slams Kenneth Okonkwo Over Criticism Of Atiku, Amaechi

According to Ireporter Online, a chieftain of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), Eze Chukwuemeka Eze, has criticised Kenneth Okonkwo over his reaction to the party’s selection of a vice-presidential candidate for the 2027 general election.

  reports that the ADC presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar, recently picked former Rivers State governor, Rotimi Amaechi, as his running mate, a move that has sparked mixed reactions within political circles.

However, Okonkwo had condemned the decision, arguing that it could further deepen the alleged marginalisation of the South-East, which he claimed has not produced either a president or vice president since 1999.

Reacting in a statement on Tuesday, Eze dismissed Okonkwo’s comments, describing them as “misguided and unfortunate,” while accusing him of inconsistency in his political stance.

Eze further criticised Okonkwo, alleging that he had become confused and was treating politics like a film script, while also accusing him of speaking from both sides of his mouth.

He linked the backlash against Okonkwo to his past criticism of Peter Obi and ongoing legal issues, alleging that the former actor had turned against former allies and was now politically isolated.

The ADC chieftain also claimed that Okonkwo had lost political relevance, describing him in strong terms while insisting that Atiku does not require his support to win the presidency.

Defending the choice of Amaechi, Eze argued that the former governor, who hails from the South-South and is married to a South-Eastern woman, has strong ties with the region and should not be dismissed on ethnic grounds.

He further maintained that Atiku’s previous running mates have often had Igbo roots, citing past examples to support his argument that the South-East remains represented in his political arrangements.

Eze concluded by praising both Atiku and Amaechi, describing their partnership as a strategic move capable of delivering victory in the 2027 general election, while insisting that their collaboration could reshape Nigeria’s political landscape.
