Trump Orders Flags Lowered Nationwide As Conservative Star Charlie Kirk Is Killed

President Donald Trump has ordered that all American flags across the United States be flown at half-mast in honor of conservative activist Charlie Kirk, who was shot and killed during an event at Utah Valley University.

According to Ireporter Online, Kirk, 31, was addressing students during the opening stop of his campus tour when he was struck in the neck by a bullet. Videos from the scene showed chaos as the audience screamed and scrambled for safety. He was rushed to the hospital but later pronounced dead.

Kirk rose to prominence in 2012 after co-founding Turning Point USA at the age of 18, becoming one of Trump’s most loyal allies and a powerful voice in mobilizing conservative youth across the country. His organization played a pivotal role in energizing young voters during Trump’s political campaigns.

In 2021, Kirk married Erika Frantzve, a Christian podcaster and former Miss Arizona USA. The couple have two children together.

Reacting to the tragedy, Trump described Kirk’s death as a devastating loss to the nation, praising him as a passionate advocate for America’s youth. Extending condolences to his wife, children, and family, Trump wrote on Truth Social: “The Great, and even Legendary, Charlie Kirk, is dead. No one understood or had the Heart of the Youth in the United States of America better than Charlie. He was loved and admired by ALL, especially me, and now, he is no longer with us. Melania and my sympathies go out to his beautiful wife Erika, and family. Charlie, we love you!”

Authorities confirmed that investigations into the shooting are ongoing, though no suspect has yet been arrested.
