GTS 40k & Dremo Gear Up To Drop Hottest Single ‘Backshot

Independent artiste GTS 40k and rapper Dremo are set to release a new collaborative single titled Backshot on May 1, 2026. According to reports, the upcoming track marks a reunion between the two artistes, who previously joined forces on street-pop hits such as Kiss & Tell and Juju. Their earlier collaborations gained significant traction within Nigeria’s urban music scene, establishing them as a prominent duo in the country’s evolving street-pop landscape.

Backshot, according to the artistes, continues their signature synergy, blending GTS 40k’s street-influenced rap style with Dremo’s lyrical prowess. The song is produced by Duke Blaq, a frequent collaborator whose sound has featured in several of GTS 40k’s recent releases.

Speaking on the collaboration, GTS 40k said, “Working with Dremo is always natural. We speak the same language musically. Backshot isn’t just a song; it’s the energy the fans have been asking for since we dropped Kiss & Tell.”

The track follows their 2024 joint project, Never Back Down, Vol. 1, which produced songs that resonated with fans of street-oriented Afrobeats and hip-hop. Backshot will be available across major streaming platforms, including Spotify, Apple Music, and Audiomack, with pre-save links expected to go live on April 17, 2026.
