Naomi, who was detained by the police after the incident, has garnered both sympathy and scrutiny in the wake of the tragedy. In a heartfelt post on his Instagram, Adeniyi expressed his condolences to the victims’ families and emphasized Naomi’s good intentions, which he believes were misinterpreted by the unfortunate event.

“I offer my deepest condolences to the families who have lost loved ones; no one should endure this kind of pain. May God grant you the strength to bear this loss,” Adeniyi wrote.

He went on to defend Naomi’s motives, stating, “Naomi’s intentions were never to cause harm. Her goal was to give back and help, not hurt anyone. May the God of your good deeds speak for you and restore you to strength.”

The actor also praised the people of Ondo State for their generosity, which he believes was reflected in Naomi’s efforts to help her community. Adeniyi appealed to the authorities to show mercy in their handling of the situation.

“Though the law must be upheld, I urge the authorities to temper justice with mercy and look beyond the tragedy,” he added.
