According to Ireporter Online, the American film industry has been thrown into deep mourning following the death of renowned actor and director Rob Reiner and his wife, photographer and film producer Michele Singer Reiner, who were found dead in their Los Angeles residence on Sunday, December 14.

Reports indicate that the tragic discovery was made by the couple’s daughter, Romy Reiner, who immediately contacted emergency services after finding their bodies. Personnel from the Los Angeles Fire Department responded to the distress call and confirmed that both individuals were already deceased upon arrival. Officers from the Los Angeles Police Department later joined the scene to commence investigations.

Authorities are treating the incident as a double homicide, with preliminary findings suggesting that both victims died during a violent domestic-related incident. Officials have so far offered limited details, describing the case only as a “family incident,” while investigations continue.
