I Don’t Give A Damn’ About Your Opinions, El-Rufai To Critics

Former Governor of Kaduna State, Nasir El-Rufai, has dismissed criticisms directed at him on social media, stating that he does not “give a damn” about the misinterpretations of his posts. El-Rufai addressed his critics, accusing them of judging him “in ignorance and bigotry.”

The former governor expressed his views in a post on his verified X.com account on Saturday, where he emphasized his indifference towards the negative reactions his statements have received.

“Interpret, misinterpret, or reinterpret any posts by me or others as you wish. I frankly don’t give a damn,” El-Rufai wrote. “Abuse and insult with no basis. By all means, pass your judgment in ignorance and bigotry. Nothing will change. What will be will be, in sha Allah.”

El-Rufai has been under fire for a previous post where he commented on the challenges Nigeria faces due to the declining competence and commitment of its political leadership. He highlighted the need to confront the “incurable virus of envy” to achieve the nation’s potential.
