I Need Your Support” — Actor Ikechukwu Nweke Seeks Help Amid Cancer Fight

According to Ireporter Online, the actor disclosed in an Instagram video titled “My Cancer Journey” that he was diagnosed with colon cancer in 2025 and has since been undergoing medical procedures to manage the condition.

Nweke revealed that he has spent over ₦15 million on chemotherapy, radiotherapy, medical tests, scans, and medications since the commencement of his treatment, adding that the financial demands of his recovery process have become increasingly overwhelming.

The actor expressed appreciation to his family, friends, and colleagues who have supported him throughout the difficult period, particularly acknowledging the contributions of Nollywood personalities including Uche Nancy, Destiny Etiko, Lizzy Gold, and Ebele Okaro.

Speaking on his current health situation, Nweke said his doctors have advised him to proceed with the next phase of his treatment, which he described as crucial to improving his chances of recovery.

He appealed to the public for assistance, noting that contributions, prayers, and sharing his message could help him overcome the health challenge.

The actor maintained that he remains hopeful and determined in his fight against the disease, while urging Nigerians to support him as he continues his journey toward recovery.
