2027: APC Already Has 12 Million Votes For Tinubu, Yilwatda Declares

Speaking on Friday in Abuja during the submission of the nomination forms of President Tinubu and Vice President Kashim Shettima as the APC’s presidential ticket for the 2027 election, Yilwatda stated that the party’s over 12 million registered members had effectively guaranteed the President a solid voting base ahead of the polls.

He noted that the overwhelming endorsement Tinubu received during the party’s presidential primary reflected the level of confidence party members have in his leadership and signaled what the APC expects in the general election. Yilwatda also argued that the administration’s policies and programmes, which he said have positively impacted millions of Nigerians, would further strengthen the President’s electoral prospects.

The APC chairman maintained that the ruling party already has about 12 million votes secured for Tinubu through its membership, describing the figure as a strong foundation for the campaign.

Yilwatda called on APC governors, party leaders, and supporters across the country to return to their respective states and actively showcase the achievements of the Tinubu administration. He stressed that highlighting the government’s accomplishments and their impact on citizens would be the party’s most effective strategy ahead of the 2027 election.

According to him, Nigerians have witnessed the difference made by policies designed to improve lives and promote effective governance, adding that these achievements would resonate with voters during the election.

Describing President Tinubu as the APC’s strongest candidate for the 2027 presidential contest, Yilwatda expressed confidence that the party would record sweeping victories nationwide, insisting there was no uncertainty about its chances of emerging victorious at the polls.
