Nollywood actress Eniola Badmus has opened up about the criticism she continues to face years after undergoing a major weight transformation, expressing disappointment that negative comments have persisted despite her efforts to improve her health and lifestyle.

According to Ireporter Online, the actress shared recent photos on her Instagram page while reflecting on her personal journey over the past five years. Badmus revealed that she moved from weighing 170 kilograms to 83 kilograms after embracing significant lifestyle changes and maintaining a disciplined approach toward her health.

The actress described the transformation process as one of the most challenging periods of her life, noting that the journey required years of commitment, sacrifice, consistency, emotional strength and determination.

Badmus said although she is proud of the progress she has made, she has found it difficult dealing with reactions from some members of the public. She noted that some individuals who previously criticised her appearance when she was plus-sized have continued to make negative remarks following her weight loss.

The actress questioned the reason behind the continued criticism, stating that she has experienced body shaming at different stages of her journey despite making personal decisions aimed at becoming healthier.

She explained that ignoring online attacks does not mean the comments do not affect her, stressing that she remains human and capable of being hurt by harsh remarks.

Badmus also encouraged people to avoid judging others based on their appearance, saying that no one should be bullied for being plus-sized or for choosing to lose weight.

She added that she remains proud of her transformation and is focused on continued growth, healing and becoming the best version of herself.
