“I Won’t Go Hungry”: Peller Claps Back At Social Media Over TikTok Live Ban
Content creator Peller has addressed the recent ban on TikTok live streaming in Nigeria, dismissing speculations that the policy would jeopardize his income. Responding to widespread commentary, Peller emphasized that he is financially secure through multiple brand endorsements.
According to the influencer, assumptions that he would struggle financially following the ban are misplaced. “People expected me to break down after TikTok banned live in Nigeria, thinking I’ll go hungry. I’m an ambassador to numerous brands, and none of my endorsements is less than ₦40 million,” he stated.
Peller’s comments have sparked extensive online discussions, with social media users debating the financial stability of influencers beyond their social media platforms. While some praised his confidence, others interpreted his statement as defensive.
Reactions on social media highlighted mixed opinions: @tbshwal questioned tax obligations, @Charlie_Beato_MD suggested that true wealth rarely requires public validation, while @Hollaniyi commended Peller for asserting his independence amid the policy change.
The TikTok ban has prompted conversations about the evolving earning landscape for Nigerian digital creators, emphasizing the need for diversified income streams.
