Igbokwe stated that Atiku’s presidential ambition is “impossible” in 2027, advising him to wait until 2031—though even then, he warned, age may not be on his side.

Igbokwe’s remarks come in the wake of a statement by Secretary to the Government of the Federation, George Akume, who urged Northern leaders, including Atiku, to refrain from running against President Bola Tinubu in 2027, allowing him to serve a second term.

In addition, Igbokwe raised concerns over the ongoing abuse of the naira, pointing out that Nigerians continue to disrespect the currency at social events such as parties, funerals, and naming ceremonies. He called on authorities to address the issue, questioning whether the ban on naira abuse had been lifted.

This comes after several high-profile figures, including crossdresser Bobrisky and socialite Cubana Chief Priest, were arrested for naira mutilation, with some facing legal consequences.
