‘I’m Not Accepting Donations for ₦500 Million Debt’ – Mr Macaroni
Popular Nigerian skit maker and Nollywood actor, Debo Adedayo, better known as Mr Macaroni, has clarified that he is not seeking financial assistance despite revealing that he once struggled with a debt of over ₦500 million.
‘I Wanted People to Learn from My Mistakes’ – Mr Macaroni
In a candid post on his X (formerly Twitter) account on Thursday, March 20, 2025, Mr Macaroni admitted that financial recklessness and excessive generosity had negatively impacted his financial stability.
According to the actor, 2024 was a significant year in his career but also the most difficult as he found himself in massive debt. He revealed that after losing all his savings, he resorted to borrowing to meet financial commitments and responsibilities.
The situation was worsened by a betrayal from someone he once considered a close friend and sister. However, he acknowledged that the support of family and true friends helped him through his most challenging times.
Following his revelation, several colleagues and fans expressed support, offering financial assistance.
Mr Macaroni Rejects Donations, Says He Only Wanted to Share a Lesson
In a recent chat with Punch, the comedian emphasized that he is not accepting any financial help or donations.
He stated, “I’m not accepting any help or donations. I shared the story majorly because I wanted people to learn from my mistakes.”
Mr Macaroni’s story serves as an eye-opener for many, highlighting the importance of financial discipline and careful decision-making.
