Yakubu acknowledged the enormity of the task, stating, “In handling such a huge national assignment, the commission cannot do it alone. That is why we seek to mobilise every national asset, including NAF.”

He highlighted that INEC is empowered by law to seek support from security, intelligence, and law enforcement agencies for material delivery and the protection of election officials, emphasizing the collaborative efforts required for a successful electoral process.

Detailing the logistics, Yakubu mentioned, “the evacuation of the materials from the focal airports to the States where the election will hold will be handled by the Commission and the Central Bank of Nigeria as has been the standard practice.”

The chairman assured transparency in the process, emphasizing that all stakeholders, including political party agents, candidates, observers, and the media, will be actively involved in the inspection and movement of materials to various locations. As democracy’s cargo takes flight, the nation awaits the outcome of this collaborative effort to uphold the integrity of the electoral process.
