Joy And Glamour As Bashir Fakorede Celebrates His Graduation
Aare Bashir Olawale Fakorede, a prominent figure in Nigeria’s oil and gas industry and an influential player in real estate, has continued to distinguish himself through his visionary leadership and disciplined business ethics. Widely respected for his strategic decision-making and avoidance of needless controversies, Fakorede has built a reputation as a quiet but highly impactful leader whose actions resonate strongly within the business community. His philanthropy, deeply rooted in the values instilled by his parents, has further elevated his standing as a man committed to service and community development.
Fakorede’s devotion to education remains a central part of his life philosophy, as he firmly believes in lifelong learning. His academic journey began with an Ordinary National Diploma (OND) in Accounting from Yaba College of Technology, Lagos, before earning a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from Ambrose Alli University. In 1995, he transitioned into entrepreneurship with the establishment of Bash Distinct Oil, laying the foundation for what would become a diversified business empire.
Over the years, his ventures have expanded significantly. Today, he oversees Enyo Retail & Supply (ERS), one of Nigeria’s leading indigenous oil and gas distribution companies with more than 50 retail outlets across the country. His entrepreneurial reach has further extended into agriculture through 2B5M Limited, real estate development via High Link Royal Castle Development, and dredging operations, showcasing his commitment to diversification and sustainable growth.
Beyond business, Fakorede embraces a lifestyle enriched by cultural experiences and social engagement. Last year, he enrolled in a master’s degree program in Business and Entrepreneurship at Northumbria University, a decision that initially drew skepticism from critics who questioned his ability to balance academic commitments with his expansive business responsibilities. However, his determination and pursuit of excellence silenced doubts, reinforcing his reputation as a resilient and forward-looking leader.
On September 8, Aare Fakorede reached a defining moment in his academic journey when he participated in his convocation at the historic Central Hall, Westminster, in London. Dressed in a regal Aso-Oke Danshiki paired with matching Kembe, he proudly showcased his cultural heritage as he received thunderous applause from family, friends, and well-wishers. Following the ceremony, he hosted an elaborate celebration at his London residence, marked by flowing champagne, exquisite gourmet delicacies, and an atmosphere of opulence.
The event attracted an array of dignitaries and high-profile personalities, including Oba Saheed Ademola Elegushi of Ikate land, Oba Engineer Suliaman Adekunle Bamgbade, Chief Ganiyu Lekan Bakare, Hon. Moyosore Adebanjo, and Tayo Fashogbon. His wife, Chief Mrs. Tayo Fakorede, ensured that guests experienced a night of unmatched elegance, cementing the occasion as not just a celebration of academic achievement but also a testament to his stature as a leader, entrepreneur, and cultural icon
