JUST IN: APC Wins Again As PDP Candidate Joins Party In Jigawa

Hon. Abubakar Marke, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) candidate for Jigawa State House of Assembly in the Kaugama Local Government Area, has defected to the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC).

He confirmed this to reporters on Friday, shortly after meeting with APC stakeholders at Government House in Dutse.

Marke stated that he left the PDP and joined the APC, along with thousands of his constituents.

“The APC aligns more closely with my values and beliefs,” he says, “and I would be better able to serve my constituents as an APC member.”

He explained that becoming a member of the APC would provide him with more resources and support to address issues important to his community members, such as education, healthcare, and job creation.

The state Governor, Alhaji Muhammad Badaru Abubakar, expressed his happiness and promised to transport the decampees in his remarks following their arrival.

He did, however, promise to give them to APC presidential candidate Asiwaju Bola Tinubu as a welcome gift.

The APC presidential candidate is expected to hold a campaign rally in Dutse, the state capital, on Saturday.
