JUST IN: Federal High Court Judge Yunusa Passes Away In Kano

According to Ireporter Online, a Judge of the Federal High Court, Justice Mohammed Nasir Yunusa, has passed away.

The death was confirmed in a statement issued by the court’s Director of Information, Dr. Catherine Oby Christopher.

The statement revealed that Justice Yunusa died on May 21 after a brief illness. Until his passing, he served at the Kano Division of the Federal High Court.

It further disclosed that the late jurist died at the State Medical Centre, Kano, and was laid to rest in accordance with Islamic rites shortly after his death.

Describing him as a committed and principled judicial officer, the Federal High Court paid tribute to Justice Yunusa, noting his dedication and integrity in the discharge of his duties.

“Hon. Justice M. N. Yunusa was a distinguished jurist who served with dedication, integrity, and an unwavering commitment to the administration of justice. His immense contributions to the Bench and the legal profession will be fondly remembered,” the statement added.

The Chief Judge, alongside other judges, management, and staff of the Federal High Court, extended condolences to the bereaved family, praying for strength and comfort in this difficult period.

They also prayed for the forgiveness of his shortcomings and that Almighty Allah grants him eternal rest in Aljannatul Firdaus.
