JUST IN: IPMAN Calls Off Shutdown Of Filling Stations

The planned shutdown of filling stations by members of the Independent Petroleum Marketers Association of Nigeria (IPMAN), has been put off, National Secretary, Alhaji Danladi Garba Pasali, has said.

He said on a telephone conversation that the timely intervention by the management of Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC), the National Assembly, the Police headquarters, some officials at the presidency and the Minister of Justice, Monday, called for the halting of the planned shutdown.

He said: “Following our discussions with the concerned stakeholders at the national level of IPMAN, it was resolved that our members that are planning to shut down filling stations are advised to put a halt.”

Alhaji Pasali said a convincing step has been taken during a high-level discussion at the national Secretariat was reached.

“In the light of that the national Secretariat of IPMAN is urging all our members that have planned to shut down filling stations, across States and zones to put off the plan and give the discussions the benefit of a doubt,” he said.
The Secretary appreciated IPMAN members, for their understanding, he further commended all the state actors that have intervened in the matter.
