Amidst ongoing construction on the final stretches of both sides of the expressway, after experiencing multiple missed deadlines, Umahi embarked on an inspection tour.

The inspection tour commenced at outer Marina Road in Victoria Island, which is a project undertaken under the SUKUK financing option by the Federal Government. Subsequently, he proceeded to the recently rehabilitated Eko Bridge, followed by visits to Ijora Olopa, the Lagoon segment of Eko Bridge, and Apapa.

Throughout these visits, Umahi received briefings from ministry officials and project contractors involved in various initiatives along this corridor.

At the time of composing this response, the minister was also anticipated to inspect the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway, the reconstructed Apapa Oshodi Expressway, the Deep Sea Ports, as well as other Federal Government projects situated within the Lagos and Ogun regions.
