Kwam1’s Daughter Gets Powerful Support For Lagos Assembly Bid

According to Ireporter Online, Damilola Ayinde Marshal, daughter of veteran Fuji musician Wasiu Ayinde Marshall, popularly known as KWAM 1, has secured the endorsement of Mustapha Adekunle, Chairman of the Lagos State chapter of the National Union of Road Transport Workers (NURTW), popularly called Sego, in her bid for a seat in the Lagos State House of Assembly.

The endorsement was made public in a video shared by Damilola on Snapchat during a political consultation meeting, where she also presented branded caps to the NURTW chairman ahead of the All Progressives Congress (APC) primaries.

In his remarks, Sego expressed strong confidence in her capability, urging party members and supporters to rally behind her ambition, describing her as the right candidate to drive development in Surulere. He further called for mass participation during the party primaries, stressing the need for collective support to ensure her emergence.

Damilola, who currently serves as the Senior Special Assistant to Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu on Tourism, recently declared her intention to represent Surulere Constituency II in the Lagos State House of Assembly under the APC platform. She stated that her professional background has equipped her for effective representation and public service.

In a post shared on Instagram, she described herself as a result-driven professional and part of a new generation of leaders focused on development and youth inclusion, adding that she is committed to becoming a strong voice for young people in the legislature.
