This year’s ceremony highlighted the university’s rapid growth since joining the Honoris United Universities network in 2020. Vice Chancellor Prof. Dilli Dogo reflected on this transformation, stating: “Nile University has evolved into a truly national institution, attracting students from across Nigeria and beyond.”

In line with its mission to prepare students for a dynamic world, the university awarded both academic degrees and Honoris 21st-century skills certificates, equipping graduates with essential competencies like creative thinking, problem-solving, and entrepreneurship.

Honoring Excellence

The ceremony also recognized remarkable contributions to society, awarding honorary doctorate degrees to distinguished Nigerians:

  • Senator George Akume, Secretary to the Government of the Federation, for exceptional public service.
  • Alhaji Auwalu Abdullahi Rano, CEO of AA Rano Group, for his leadership in business.
  • Sir Emeka Offor, founder of the Sir Emeka Offor Foundation, for his philanthropic impact.

Celebrating Top Graduates

The event’s highlight was the recognition of outstanding students, including valedictorian David Adeshina Arungbemi (Computer Engineering), who achieved a perfect 5.0 CGPA. Alongside him, Chinomso Samuel Akuma and Hassan Haruna Kabaju (both with 5.0 CGPA) were honored, with Eunice Kwaji and Attahiru Nasiru Yakubu completing the top five with near-perfect scores.

Their achievements were rewarded with scholarships and prizes sponsored by organizations like Zenith Bank, Stanbic IBTC, and ACCA.
